Sensory Garden and ”Kirjatoukan tupa”
The sensory garden at Kattelus Farm is a charming blend of the old and the new. Situated on a south-facing slope, you’ll find apple trees and berry bushes over a century old, interspersed with “intentionally wild” perennial areas. At the heart of the garden stands a greenhouse for reflection—the “Kirjatoukan tupa”—where visitors can lose themselves in a book surrounded by lush greenery.

Summer Henhouse and the Sensory Path
At one end of the greenhouse is a summer henhouse, home to five hens and a rooster. Right next to it lies a vegetable patch featuring raised garden beds. The farmyard is also home to sheep, horses, and rabbits.
A winding sensory path meanders through the garden, designed to awaken all the senses and help visitors find peace in the present moment.

Everything doesn’t have to be “picture-perfect,” and projects are allowed to take their time—the most important thing is being present.

A Passion for Gardening
Gardening is the hostess’s greatest hobby and passion. Key values in maintaining the garden include fostering biodiversity and following organic principles. It is essential that garden work remains a source of stress relief rather than a cause of it. Everything doesn’t have to be “picture-perfect,” and projects are allowed to take their time—the most important thing is being present. We hope our guests feel this same sense of tranquility.
